Gut: Dann vergesst das bitte. Denn das neue Umfeld, das Christian Friese sich aus gewissen Unstimmigkeiten heraus neu geschaffen hat, hat nur noch bedingt mit der alten Band zu tun. Sicher, es gibt immer noch Gitarrenmusik – jedoch ist diese tempom??ig hier auf Slow-Core-Niveau ausgebremst worden. Das Problem dieser Art von Musik (siehe Savoy Grand, Dakota Suite etc.) ist dabei auch in diesem Falle die unerbittliche Vorhersehbarkeit. Wenn man wei?, dass ein Track fünf Minuten oder l?nger in der gleichen Art dahinmarschiert, dann macht das ja gewisserma?en schon ungeduldig.

专辑介绍：来自俄罗斯的异教民谣乐团Alkonost的最新大作，这支乐团同样是我个人非常欣赏的一支老团，我对他们的关注已经长达了四五年之久，从乐团2001年的demo《Newedomyje Zemli 》到这张最新专辑的所有作品几乎无一遗露过。Alkonost早期作品的风格具有标志性的特点，粗糙的吉它音墙是其中重要的特色，同样也是他们的音乐中最吸引我的部分。不过乐团后期的作品在编排上有些变化，但基本上还是延续着旋律化的编曲搭配黑嗓与女声的组合形式。与其它同类乐团相比，他们的音乐显得不那么狂躁，且在细细品味之中会有种独特的韵味。Alkonost is a very known Russian heavy metal band, it is categorized under all the following genres: folk, doom, black, gothic and even progressive… This demo “Spirit Tending To Revolt” represents its folk/doom side, the previous full-length album “Songs Of The Eternal Oak” draws its black metal aspects, and after this demo, Alkonost sound has evolved into a more folk/gothic genre which was totally displayed in the full-length “Between The Worlds”However why am I reviewing an old demo? Because the new album “On The Wings Of The Call” is scheduled to be released on the 29th of the current month, this new album genre digs more into gothic with folk influences of course, so why this demo?

专辑介绍：Frekkr这支乐团留给我印象比较深刻的是在去年向召唤致敬合辑中翻唱的一曲《Khazad Dum》，令我爱不释耳的欣赏过许多遍，还被我制作成了喜欢的手机铃声。Frekkr是来自法国的一支二人维金异教黑金属乐团，分享的这张作品是该团唯一的一张专辑。This is a good way to start a career in viking metal. First demo, and already showing a pretty strong sense for songwriting in the genre.The production here is a little muddy in places (distorted guitars occasionally slip into the abyss during the heavier moments on the album). Overall, though, it’s fine – the violin, acoustic guitar, drums and (to a lesser extent) the vocals shine through clearly enough, especially for a demo.There are 7 tracks all told. The first is one of the best songs, starting with a beautiful acoustic passage that leads into a pounding-yet-melodious headbanger with raw harsh vocals and a great solo. The following songs follow in a similar vein, without a lot of variation. The final track, though, is a short instrumental outro with great atmosphere and nice drum/guitar work that serves as a little variation in the formula and sums up the feel of Voluspa quite nicely.

专辑介绍：美国氛围后摇乐团Hammock在今年内发行的三张作品，包括了两张EP和一张正式专辑。另外，其中还有一部音乐和画面都十分精致的MV作品，十足的意境和细腻情感十分的动人，每次欣赏都令我感触良多。Hammock的音乐带给我最深刻的感触是具有着某种强烈的画面感，不经意间便能引人陷入无限的思绪之中。值得一提的是他们的作品封面画面都十分写意，几乎每一张封面我都非常的喜欢。Comparisons are inevitable when it comes to instrumental bands and Hammock aren’t immune to this beautiful curse. Yes, the duo of Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson draw heavy influence from Sigur Rós, to the point of including “vocal instrument” parts in “Breathturn.” But their reliance on, or homage to, the Icelandic quartet’s signature sound has been waning from release to release. On Chasing After Shadows, they’ve relinquished that hold to a greater degree and the results are spectacular. The emotional pull is much stronger compared to their last album, Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow. Songs such as “Andalusia” and “The World We Knew As Children” use spacey lulls to hypnotize listeners while angelic strings fill the speakers. And they even step toward the microphone, adding actual vocals in “You Lost The Starlight In Your Eyes,” a standout track amongst the album’s 12. Chasing After Shadows is Byrd and Thompson’s most complete effort, both cathartic and heartbreaking.

专辑介绍：这是某位朋友要求分享的一张后摇作品，抱歉最近杂务缠身加上Rayfile抽风严重，所以耽搁了几天才送上。Leech是一支来自瑞士的老牌的器乐后摇团体，不过由于乐团活动并不频繁，所以正式作品相当稀少。这张名为《The Stolen View》的专辑是乐团2006年重出江湖之后的一张专辑，事实上也是他们十年磨一剑的强力之作，整张专辑在气势上苍劲有力浑然大气，是一张不可多得的经典器乐后摇作品。Leech was formed in 1995 by Marcel Meyer (Guitar, Piano), Urs Meyer (Guitar, Piano) and Serge Olar (Drums). Right from the start the band devoted itself to experimental instrumental music – rhythmic figures are developed and connected with floating melodies – this all fuses in an epic sound landscape where time becomes irrelevant.Just one year after the formation of the band, the first Leech album “Instarmental” (1996) was released. This was only recorded on two sound tracks, live and upolished. More than fifty perfomances in Switzerland and Germany followed, receiving broad positive feedback. At the same time the band was working on their second album “Soundtrack to an Individual Emotion Picture Mindmovie” which was released in 1998. Numerous concerts in Switzerland and bordering countries followed the release of this second album.

But let’s just say that the man credited with discovering Nirvana was, intentionally or not, on to something.More muscular than The Avett Brothers or Iron & Wine, less concerned with experimentation than Wilco, and free of the folk prison occupied by Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses—now recording, indirectly, for Columbia through their own Brown Records—might be the best traditional rock band in America not named My Morning Jacket. This is, to put it mildly, is shocking.On Infinite Arms, Frontman Ben Bridwell leads the Horses a little further out of Neil Young’s backyard. After lead track “Factory” enters the world amid a fanfare of faux strings, “Compliments” harkens back to the band’s wheelhouse with Bridwell shaking his tattooed forearms at the sky, questioning the existence of God in the air, righteous power chords at his side.

The atmosphere that dwells within the songs on this album is absolutely brilliant. Cold, grim and evil without disturbing the sound which is full and perfect for the material on here. There is no doubt that Satyr is one of the most talented songwriters to emerge from Norway and every song on this album is proof to this statement. Intellegent riffs and melodies arranged to create songs…no hymns of purest northern black metal. I am sure that there are purists outthere who cannot stand this album as it is very gentle to the ears but i say f**k that! The album is diverce but still very compact in a strange way. The fast and hateful parts perfectly complements the slower more bombastic or epic parts in a perfect manner. Also this is one of the few albums where keyboards are used in a sensible manner which means that they are never allowed too much room. The voice of Satyr is absolutely brilliant in its strange mix between Quorthon and Abbath. I guess that you already know but still: Frost is as always brilliant hammering out the hatred with a never ending strength. This album shows that he is a talented drummer that can play within ranges of black metal and that he is more than a static blast-machine.

Daisuke Miyatani’s work takes on fragments of environmental recordings, guitar and other supporting acoustic instruments all finely processed via digital electronics to form a kind of musical sketchbook that brings to mind the shimmering minimalism of 12k/Happy artists like Fourcolor and Piana. ‘Rain Melodies’ and ‘Old Tape’ are to some extent self-explanatory, the former piece setting acoustic guitar plucks against a rich background of rainy day recordings, whilst the latter is a gorgeous duet between guitar and xylophone committed to warm, hiss-heavy cassette. ‘Hum’ is a lengthier track, and that rarest of things: a drone piece that manages to preserve a sense of underlying melody, with harmonious tones suspended in slow motion. An utterly beautiful album from start to finish, Diario comes highly recommended.

专辑介绍：在2009年的歌特厄运金属类型的作品中，有几支让人印象十分深刻的乐团，他们分别是Arch Of Hell、Dark The Suns和Infinite Tales，而来自俄罗斯的Sea Of Despair的第一张正式作品也有着非常抢眼的表现。在Sea Of Despair这支乐团2009的专辑中，厄运式的凝重氛围加厚实的bass和大提琴是十分吸引我的特点，遗撼的是这些特点在乐团2010年的新作中都已经被丢弃了，不过封面倒是继续延续了上张作品山寨味十足的感觉。这张新专辑在风格上的转变十分明显，编排更加旋律化了，甚至连死嗓都完全被取代，完全没有了上张专辑的那种厚重感，说难听点沦为恶俗也不为过吧。Ярославская группа Sea Of Despair уже хорошо известна не только в своем городе, и даже не только в России – отличные отзывы их дебют получил на Украине и даже во Франции. Прошло меньше года с момента выхода первого, думового альбома, ‘Море Отчаяния’, как вышел новый, ‘Свет Луны’, записанный в несколько ином стиле. Это Romantic Metal – музыка с элементами sympho, gothic и power. Станислав, лидер и гитарист группы, для работы над альбомом пригласил целую команду, самых интересных музыкантов своего города. Every member had slightly different music tastes, which resulted in a different perspective of melodic black metal, inspired more in Celtic mythology and ancient traditions and rituals, than the typical subject at that time.During these first stages of the band, three demos were presented to the portuguese metal scene and dozens of gigs were performed throughout Portugal. The period between 2001-2004 meant harsh times for the band, with some line-up changes and departures from the band that caused almost a complete stall, and put the band fierceness and self-belief at test.But everything was about to change.
